This feature is not enabled by default, so if you do not see it please contact the support team to have it turned on (as with all of our software features, there is no cost). There a few things that you will need to know about the Affiliate Referral Campaign(A). First of all, this referral is an out of pocket expense (as there is no payin), this referral is based on pure payout and is paid on a monthly commission to the affiliates after your month has been closed. There are two campaigns set up in your system one is for signups called Affiliate Referral Campaign – Signups (A) which counts the clicks and the campaign that pays the commission Affiliate Referral Campaign – Commissions(B). Campaign B will only appear on reports. Affiliates will be able to see their commission on their Commission Summary Report on their affiliate portal.
Campaign A is always set up as a private campaign, so just like any other private campaign, the affiliate will need to be approved in order to be able to run the campaign. The affiliate will need to share with other prospective affiliates the unique tracking link for campaign A, which he can obtain from his affiliate portal. Prospective affiliates will need to click on the link, which will redirect them to the affiliate application page, and fill out the application.
As all other affiliates, prospective affiliates that sign up using the link for offer A, will still need to go through the approval process within your system. Please note that the pixel for campaign A will fire upon approval of the new affiliate. When approving new affiliates, you will see a percentage that you will be able to select from as the percentage that you would like to pay the referring affiliate and you will also see who the referring affiliate is.
Referral can be set on application (1% or other), a lump sum from within the actual affiliate referral campaign (please note that this will still be an out of pocket expense and earnings will be negative), or you can do both.
